Allen-Krauss, and her family have owned and operated Green Mountain
Hooked Rugs, Inc. since 1982.
At our well-stocked
rug shop
in the capital city of Montpelier, Vermont, Green Mountain
Hooked Rugs offers a full line of
rug hooking supplies. Choose from a wide
selection of rug hooks, cutters, frames, patterns, hooked rug
kits, backings, and dyes. We stock more than 200 bolts of 100%
wool fabric, hand dyed wools, studio swatches, and wool yarn. |

Annually we offer two rug hooking
programs, Green Mountain Rug School in June at the Vermont
Technical College campus in Randolph Center, VT, and
Fall
Foliage Fiesta of Rug Hooking in September at the Vermont
College of Fine Arts in Montpelier, VT. Both offer traditional
and contemporary rug hooking classes and a Rest and Rug Hooking
Retreat option. Group and private classes and free
hook-ins are also available at the shop throughout the year.
Custom dyeing and
rug cleaning services, are
also available. Please visit our online store for

dyed wool fabric,
rug hooking supplies and
equipment, and
hooked rug kits.
Mariah Krauss is now offering rug repair and custom finishing services. Mariah learned to repair hooked rugs from her mother, Stephanie Krauss, and has been working at Green Mountain Hooked Rugs for two years. Email Mariah or call 406-241-3863 for a free estimate or consultation.
